YES! Durham residents have embraced the DPAC with open arms, so we're DEFINITELY ready for a library to match the modernity, beauty, simplicity, elegance, openness and brightness of the DPAC.

Thank you for expanding the facilities for us all! We utilize the library system extensively. The whole family loves the East Regional and its large selection of DVD's and audio items. Because of the beautiful and up to date items, my girls are always asking to go and see what's new. We have loved the cookbook section and have found some great chocolate recipes which are a big hit not only for us, but teachers, friends, and neighbors. You guys are the best. I also salute the extraordinary library staff at the Parkwood branch who always has a Can Do attitude with a smile no less!

I am excited about the prospect of having a new place to go! More importantly, I am proud of to say I belong to a community that is dedicated to literacy!!

I am looking forward to the new library in my area. I am thankful that Durham is working to make sure that the citizens of this great city have updated educational facilities so that people have a place for continual learning. Although we have the internet, there is something very powerful about being able to go the library to sit at read or check out a book. I believer that libraries will always serve an important function in our lives.

Thanks for the blog on the progress. I found that following the link from the SW Branch Library's main page didn't work - an extra period was included in the URL. Thanks!

There was a lot of information, especially community input, gathered at the July meeting. That information was going to be pulled together and shared. Is is available yet? If so, where?
Thanks.

Skip,

Like the bumper sticker you wrote about in your blog. Congrats to the Library on its technology recognition, too! Impressive.

Best from the Duke Libraries,
