Summer Reading Kickoff Goes County-wide June 17 & 18

June 15, 2011

Join us for this year’s Summer Reading Kickoff Festivals!

For the first time ever, the Festivals will be held at every library throughout Durham County. Each celebration will have a carnival feel and will feature activities, games, refreshments, giveaways, music connected to a world theme and free RIF books for children.

The 2011 summer reading theme is ‘One World, Many Stories’ and the library has planned an exciting summer of world-class reading fun. Everyone will get an opportunity to ‘visit and explore’ any continent, country, city, town or village to learn about world cultures, dress, food, music and more.

Join us for the kickoff and throughout the summer, and enjoy “One world, many stories.”
