Spring is in the air @ Durham County Library

March 8, 2010

Tired of the prolonged winter weather this year?  If so, you’ll be happy to know that spring came early at North Regional Library.

Come in and check out the numerous displays of adult, children’s and teen library materials ripe for the picking.  Some of your choices include books and DVDs on gardening, March madness, kites, St. Patrick’s Day and other springtime holidays and information on good eats for National Nutrition Month (also celebrated in March).  Selections also abound at the base of the ever-changing library tree– currently seasonally decorated with gardening gloves and seed packets.

While you’re here, pick out several colorful choices from our new children’s wooden puzzle collection for borrowing.  Select or place a hold on one of the DVDs in competition for this year’s Oscar or go with a previous year’s winner.  Let us help you find a musical CD that will sound great while you’re driving around town with the sunroof down or an audio book for those upcoming treks to the beach.

Also make sure to pick up a copy of Durham County Library’s Branching Out publication listing the ongoing and special programs happening in March, April, and May 2010 at various county Library locations.

Put some spring in your step.  Discover your community’s library…where it’s always a comfortable 72 degrees inside no matter what’s happening outside.
